CLAUDIX VANESIX

(they/them)

Claudix lives in the intersection of digital and physical.

As a performance artist, Claudix becomes a real time interface of Virtual and Augmented Realities. Their work also challenges gender roles and neo-colonial power dynamics in technology and internet culture. Their recent work is a provocation about the human embodiment of Artificial Intelligence, as a form of transhumanism. The incorporation of AR and VR in their performance mixes new technology with ancestral traditions.

Claudix's work has been presented in galleries and festivals in Latin America, USA, Europe and Asia. In 2023, Non Fuckable Tokens was presented in Ars electronica (Linz), SXSW (Austin), Tabakalera (San Sebastian), DOCK11 (Berlin), Kindergarten (Bologna) and more. Their First VR Film Dance Permit was premiered in IDFA (Amsterdam) and presented in New Images (Paris), La Mama (NY), SANFIC XR (Santiago) and others. After it’s censorship in Peru, the film Amy Camus AR was presented in Miami Art Week at the Perez Art Museum.

Co-founder of AMiXR, they are developing new visions of futurisms in South America.  Claudix holds a BA in Performing Arts and is the scholarship holder of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Degree (EMJMD, 2022) in Media Arts Cultures (MediaAC) that takes place in Austria, Denmark, Poland and Singapore.

They are an alumni of the first FOUNDING LAB organized by Ars Electronica x IT:U. And a member of HackLab 2024 organized by CTM x Transmediale.
